Event Details

The last five years have seen a steady drumbeat of studies and related news about the large number of older executive directors planning to leave the nonprofit sector. Few of these reports, however, have given much attention to younger nonprofit professionals -- the women and men most likely to take up nonprofit leadership roles. In 2007, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) carried out a study among our 10,000 members to learn more about their career aspirations and the barriers that might be standing in their way. Please join us for a discussion of “Stepping Up or Stepping Out: A Report on the Readiness of Next Generation Nonprofit Leaders” at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 6th. What: Discussion of “Stepping Up or Stepping Out” When: February 6th, 6:30 pm Where: The George Washington University -- Duques Building, Room 552 2201 G Street NW Metro: Foggy Bottom (orange/blue) Download a free copy of this report at http://ynpn.org/national/YNPN_SteppingUp.pdf This event is co-sponsored with GW Net Impact, a group of MBA students who are using the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact. They are part of a national network with over 120 chapters across the world.
